Dental Sedation
Our dental team at Reflections Dental Health Centre in Winnipeg uses dental sedation to calm anxious patients and to help clients feel comfortable during long procedures.
What is Dental Sedation?
Dental sedation is a variety of techniques dentists use to make patients feel more comfortable during dental procedures. Our dentists can help you determine which dental sedation option is the right choice for you.
At Reflections Dental Health Centre, we take every measure we can to help patients feel comfortable and relaxed during their dental visits. On top of the sedation options we offer, we will also work at a pace you are comfortable with, take breaks when you need them, and provide calm reassurance as required.
Oral Sedation
The oral sedatives we use are liquids or pills that are prescribed by your dentist. Patients take this medication orally prior to the dental appointment. It keeps you awake during the procedure but has a calming effect to relax you significantly.
IV Sedation
IV sedatives are applied directly into the bloodstream through the vein for the deepest level of sedation without using general anesthesia. The dental team will attach you to a monitor so they can keep track of your vital signs throughout the procedure.
